Back-lighting spreads from editorial fashion spreads, merging planes and revealing new compositions. Each image serves as a window into a world where everything exists at once and more than one thing can be true.
Each composition titled by source, all photographers credited when known.
I really enjoyed this exploration. The results, in many ways, subvert the original intent of the sourced works. Originally intended to express something very specific and intentional, combined in an unexpected way to become this new thing; something that no one really intended, sort of like an abomination. Still beautiful in its own way, but not at all what anybody wanted.
